OptionEdge AI LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

The Service includes the OptionEdge AI website at optionedge.ai, all authenticated dashboard features, and the OptionEdge AI ChatGPT plugin ("the plugin") available in the ChatGPT plugin store. This policy applies equally to all of these surfaces. Where practices differ between the website and the plugin, this policy notes the distinction explicitly.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of our Service.

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register for an account on the website.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and other interaction data.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers.
• Communications: Messages you send us via our contact form or email.
• Watchlist & Preferences: Ticker symbols and settings you configure within the platform.

Additional data collected through the ChatGPT plugin:

• Stock symbols and screener categories: The ticker symbol or screener category you query (e.g., "AAPL" or "momentum"). These are anonymous query parameters sent to our API and are not linked to your identity.
• Email address (voluntary): If you choose to subscribe for product updates through the plugin's subscribe action, we collect your email address. This is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit intent. No email is collected from ordinary stock or market queries.
• Optional research context: If provided, a short description (maximum 200 characters) of the ticker or topic you are researching. This is submitted only alongside an email subscription request.
• Operational logs: Each API call generates a log record containing: timestamp (UTC), API endpoint called, query parameters (symbol or category), HTTP response status code, and traffic source indicator (plugin vs. website widget). OptionEdge's API extracts and stores only these query parameters — no OpenAI session identifier or user account information is recorded. Logs are stored on AWS and are not linked to any personal identity. They are used solely for aggregate usage analytics and service monitoring.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Process transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices.
• Send you trade ideas, newsletters, and other communications you have opted into.
• Send product update emails to users who voluntarily subscribed via the plugin's subscribe action.
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests for customer support.
• Monitor and analyse aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which endpoints are called, what hours are busiest) to improve the Service. This analysis uses anonymised operational logs only.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:

• Payment processor: Stripe, Inc. — processes subscription payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Cloud infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS) — used to host, store, and process Service data. Data is stored in AWS data centres in the United States.
• Email delivery: AWS — used to deliver newsletters and product update emails to subscribers. Email addresses are used solely for sending the requested communications.
• Fraud prevention: Google reCAPTCHA v3 — used on sign-up and contact forms to prevent automated abuse. Google's privacy policy applies to reCAPTCHA data.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OptionEdge AI LLC, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.

Note on ChatGPT plugin interactions: When you use the OptionEdge AI plugin inside ChatGPT, your inputs are first received and processed by OpenAI under OpenAI's Privacy Policy. OpenAI's hosted plugin infrastructure uses an authenticated user identifier for access control purposes; this identifier is not forwarded to OptionEdge's AWS API and is not stored by OptionEdge. OpenAI forwards only the structured query parameters required to fulfil your request (such as a stock ticker symbol or screener category) to OptionEdge's API. If you voluntarily submit an email address through the plugin's subscribe action, OpenAI processes that interaction under its own privacy policy, while OptionEdge uses the submitted address solely to provide the requested product alerts.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest in AWS, and access controls limited to authorised personnel.

This site is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. reCAPTCHA's use of your data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We retain different categories of data for different periods depending on their purpose:

• Account data: Retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request.
• Plugin email subscriptions: Email addresses and any optional research context submitted via the plugin's subscribe action are retained indefinitely until you request deletion. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
• Operational API logs: Log records (timestamp, endpoint, query parameters, status code — no personal identity) are retained for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Database backups: Automated backups are retained for up to 35 days. Deleted personal data may remain in existing backups until those backups expire, within 35 days after deletion.
• Server execution logs: Retained for 30 days, after which they expire automatically.
• Payment records: Transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain legal obligations.
• Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service provider.
• Opt-Out of marketing: Unsubscribe from newsletters and marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

Plugin-specific controls:

• Email unsubscribe: Every product update email sent to plugin subscribers includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email support@optionedgeai.com to be removed.
• Deletion of plugin data: To have your email address and any associated subscription data deleted from our systems, email support@optionedgeai.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We will action the deletion within 7 business days and confirm by reply.
• Operational logs: Operational API logs do not contain personal identifiers and cannot be linked to an individual. They are automatically deleted after 90 days and cannot be queried by individual user.

The OptionEdge AI ChatGPT plugin provides market research and optional email alerts and is accessible to users aged 13 and older in accordance with OpenAI's platform policies.

The full OptionEdge AI website, including paid subscriptions and financial analytics features, is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 in connection with website accounts or subscriptions.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child below the applicable age threshold without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. To report a concern, contact us at support@optionedgeai.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date shown in the header above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
