Key Metrics Interpretation

OI Ratio (Smart $)
< 1 Bullish > 1 Bearish
Put/Call open interest ratio. Values below 1 indicate more call OI (institutional positioning skewed bullish). Smart money tends to hold positions longer, making OI more reflective of directional conviction.
Volume Ratio (Retail $)
< 1 Bullish > 1 Bearish
Put/Call volume ratio for the day. Reflects current retail activity. High put volume relative to calls suggests near-term fear or hedging. More reactive and noisy than OI.
Weighted Ratio
> 1 = Strong Put Positioning
Blended signal: 65% OI + 35% Volume. Smooths out the noise between institutional and retail signals. A reading above 1.2 indicates strong overall put positioning across the market.
Sentiment Score
< 50% Bullish > 50% Bearish
Put-side weight as a percentage of total OI + Volume. A score above 50% means puts dominate overall positioning. Above 65% signals strongly bearish conditions; below 35% signals strongly bullish.
Max Pain
Expiry Target
The strike price at which the total value of expiring options (calls + puts) is minimized for option buyers — and maximized for market makers. Price tends to gravitate toward this level as expiry approaches.
AI Projected Price
AI Model
Multi-signal projection based on option data at the time of retrieval. Confidence reflects signal conviction.
Call Wall / Put Wall
ATM Zone
Highest OI call/put strike within ±10% of spot. Market makers are short these strikes and must delta-hedge, creating magnetic price attraction. The midpoint between the two walls forms the "pin zone" — the model's key structural anchor.
Support / Resistance
OI + Volume Score
Normalized weighted score (60% OI, 40% Volume) across all strikes. The highest-scoring put strike defines support; the highest-scoring call strike defines resistance. Calculated across the full strike chain, not just ATM.
